  • Launch of “A Decade of Pioneering E-waste Management in Ghana (2009 – 2019)” and Recognition Awards

    Through the collective efforts of partners and stakeholders, a national initiative was championed to address the growing challenge of electronic waste in Ghana at a time when public awareness and technical knowledge on the subject were still limited. With guidance and leadership of MEST and EPA, foundational documents and strategies were developed to support awareness creation and inform national action for the control of importation and management of e-waste in Ghana. Save the date for Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Mikaddo Conference Centre, Osu.

  • The Last Dig Book Launch Announcement

    GreenAd is proud to announce the upcoming launch of a new book by our Executive Director, Yaw Amoyaw-Osei. “The Last Dig: How Benjie Changed the Galamsey Story” will be officially launched on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. This thought-provoking semi-fictional novel brings environmental governance to life through storytelling, transforming the complex challenge of illegal mining (galamsey) into a compelling human story. Drawing inspiration from the principles and findings of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), the book demonstrates how evidence-based planning and policy can drive sustainable development and environmental protection. Set in the fictional nation of Hanag, The Last Dig explores innovative approaches to tackling environmental degradation while highlighting the value of Impact Assessment (IA) and SEA in shaping responsible decision-making. By blending advocacy, education, and storytelling, the book offers important lessons for policymakers, practitioners, researchers, students, and all those interested in environmental sustainability. At GreenAd, we celebrate this significant contribution to environmental thought leadership and public engagement.
