Who We Are
Green Ad is a dedicated environmental non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to promoting sustainability, waste reduction, environmental education, and climate action in Ghana. We believe that a clean and healthy environment is not just a necessity but a fundamental right for all. Our work focuses on fostering responsible environmental practices, influencing policies, and empowering communities to take an active role in safeguarding the planet.
Since our establishment, Green Ad has been at the forefront of waste management, pollution control, water and sanitation advocacy, and environmental education. We partner with local communities, government agencies, and international organizations to drive impactful initiatives that create long-term change.
Our collaborative approach involves working with local communities, government agencies, and international organizations to implement impactful programs that address pressing environmental challenges. By fostering a culture of sustainability through stakeholder engagement, education, and grassroots action, GreenAd is shaping a greener future for Ghana and beyond.
Key Focus Areas
Environmental Education and Advocacy
GreenAd is committed to raising awareness, driving behavioral change, and influencing policies for a greener future. Through public education campaigns, community engagement, and policy advocacy, we empower individuals and institutions to adopt environmentally sustainable practices. Our initiatives include the expansion of Green Clubs in schools, policy recommendations, and collaborative programs that promote environmental stewardshi
Waste Management & Circular Economy
We advocate for a circular approach to waste management by promoting sustainable resource use and responsible disposal practices. Our work focuses on e-waste recycling, incentivizing informal waste collectors, and scaling up responsible recycling models. Through research, policy engagement, and training programs, we contribute to the development of a more sustainable waste management system across West Africa.

Pollution Management and Control
GreenAd works to mitigate environmental pollution through research, public awareness, and intervention strategies. Our initiatives address hazardous waste, mercury and lead contamination, and pollution hotspots in affected communities. We engage in evidence-based advocacy, develop site-specific interventions, and conduct awareness campaigns to minimize pollution and its harmful effects on public health and the environment
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
Ensuring access to clean water and improved sanitation is a key part of our mission. GreenAd leads community-based projects to enhance sanitation practices, reduce water contamination, and promote hygiene education. Our work builds on successful projects such as the RECIRCULATE initiatives, which focus on circular water economies.
