The Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) in partnership with the German Development Bank (KfW) is implementing a bilateral development project – Recycling and Disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in an Environmentally Sound Manner – between the Republic of Ghana and the Federal Republic of Germany. GreenAd has the task of implementing the Incentive System from the pilot completed with GIZ covering four e-waste types (Batteries, Cables, CRTs and Thermoplastics). Under this system, the four e-waste types are purchased from informal e-waste recyclers at competitive price to discourage burning.

- Operating a Handing Over Centre (collection centre) where purchased materials are sorted and temporarily stored
- Purchase of e-waste types
- Data collection
