The project aimed to guide the sustainable implementation of the Rural Sanitation Model and Strategy (RSMS) programme under the Community-Led Total Sanitation Drive.

Scope of work:

• Development of a Facilitation Guide for Field Officers  
• Development of a mechanism for compliance with ESMF 
• Development of a standard training model for implementation of the ESMF
• Capacity building and standard training module to help sanitation field workers understand the environmental and social mitigation areas
• Development of a field facilitation guide for conducting environmental checks
• Development of a mechanism for monitoring compliance with recommended mitigation actions
• Development of a format for documenting and reporting progress with the ESMF implementation
